We’re looking for a full stack web developer

Position Title: Full Stack Web Developer

Salary: £30k – £40k depending on experience

Hours: 9am – 5.30pm

Location: Plymouth

Knowledge and Experience required:

With over 50 varied and interesting E Commerce Partners we are looking for the right person to join our development team in producing high-end and professional projects for our clients.

The successful candidate must possess strong technical development, problem solving, organisation and communication skills. 

You should have experience of developing advanced web sites for third parties and will be able to demonstrate your programming skills and easily show the contributions you have made to existing web sites. 

You must be self motivated and able to work as part of a team or work from home from time to time to develop projects that are delivered on time and to budget.

A suitable degree with demonstrable qualifications in computer programming and/or web development and at least 2 years+ experience in a web developer role working on your own or as part of a team using PHP and MYSQL.

• Experience of managing and promoting effective use of version control systems.
• Experience developing, supporting and maintaining complex, scalable web applications.
• Ability to define, interpret and develop software to written requirements and technical specifications.
• Create and maintain technical documentation using defined technical templates

The skillset we are looking for in a Full Stack Web Developer…

• Core skills in PHP, HTML, JS, CSS / SCSS and MySQL
• Experience with modern PHP frameworks, particularly Symfony
• Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks, particularly Vue.js
• Experience with database abstraction layers such as Doctrine
• Object oriented application design
• Strong understanding of UX / UI
• Experience working with APIs / REST based services
• Knowledge of cross browser compatibility issues
• Understanding of Git version control (Bitbucket/GitHub/GitLab)
• An impressive portfolio of client websites to which you have made a demonstrable contribution
• Some knowledge and experience of LINUX systems would be beneficial
• Knowledge of the AWS cloud infrastructure and services would be useful
